Brandywine Workshop and Archives

Philadelphia, PA

Brandywine Workshop and Archives (BWA) was founded in 1972 as a collective of artists and art teachers in the Spring Garden neighborhood of North Philadelphia. Historically, BWA has served as a unique, innovative space where artists have the opportunity to experiment and expand their practices via the accessible medium of printmaking. Now, after 50 years of artists in residency, BWA stands as a beacon for collaboration and cross-cultural exchange within a vibrant community of artists and master printers who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of traditional printmaking. Going forward, BWA continues to increase its engagement both nationally and internationally with the organization of traveling exhibitions and artist residency fellowships.

At the 2025 Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair, Brandywine Workshop and Archives is partnering with the Brodsky Center at PAFA, also based in Philadelphia.
